"You learn something new everyday."
As a life-long learner, I consider this phrase to be very true. Teachers are always thinking about what they could have done differently and consider the alternative methods or perspectives to teach student the subject material. One for teachers to learn new ways of teaching is by attending Professional Development Days (Pro-D Days).
Please bear with me as this page is still under construction.
Professional Development Days I've attended:
Provincial Intermediate Teachers' Association (PITA)
October 24 and 25, 2014 at Yorkson Creek Middle School, Langley, BC
This was my very first Professional Development Conference and I learned a lot. I was fortunate enough to attend one session by literacy expert, Adrienne Gear.
